OPERATION
The rhodes grass and american buffel grass are grown
under centre pivots which ensures a high yielding and
very uniform pasture crop that is closely monitored
and never at risk of stress. Other varieties of buffel
grass are grown dryland. Once the seed is harvested
the pasture crop is then cut and baled for hay. The
hay is sold throughout Queensland and is renowned for
its quality with many sales coming from return customers.
Each
stage of the pasture seed production operation, including
drying, grading and bagging the pasture grasses is conducted
on “Riverslea”. David strongly believes
in the ability to control all aspects of the operation
to ensure a quality product with high germination. Riverslea
Seeds is also able to provide advice to customers to
maximise pasture returns.
